About

I believe technology should amplify the voices that matter most. That conviction is what gets me out of bed in the morning, and what hass shaped my path as a frontend developer over the past four years.

I've found deep purpose in impact-driven work; building digital spaces for organizations tackling pancreatic cancer research, dementia support, and co-operative housing. There's something incredibly rewarding about taking a complex resource—like a medical directory or housing application—and making it genuinely intuitive for the people who need it most. I love sitting at the intersection of creative vision and technical execution, advocating for UX decisions that put real humans first.

That mission has also pushed me to grow technically. I've helped move my team from restrictive "no-code" platforms to flexible frameworks like Next.js, and implement React-like development processes for Wordpress, giving us the freedom to build high-performance applications that can scale alongside the causes we support. For me, clean architecture and thoughtful code aren't just best practices, they're how we ensure these digital tools can keep doing good for years to come.

When I'm not building for impact, I'm recharging in ways that feed my curiosity and keep me grounded. You might find me gaming with friends, soaking up the sun on a long walk or hike, baking a fresh loaf of sourdough bread, getting lost in a sci-fi novel, cooking the latest viral recipe, or obsessing over the systems that make history (and board games) endlessly fascinating. I'm a dreamer, a tinkerer, and always learning.

Experience

May 2022 — Present

Frontend Developer · Paper Crane Media

Over the past four years, my role as a developer has evolved from simply building high-performance websites to creating digital platforms that drive real-world change. I've launched 20+ websites using modern frameworks like Next.js, Webflow, and WordPress—consistently hitting sub-2-second load times, 90+ Lighthouse scores, and 100% QA pass rates pre-launch.

I'm a firm believer that technical excellence and empathy should go hand-in-hand. Whether I'm optimizing for speed, ensuring full accessibility, or establishing SOPs that cut onboarding time by 40%, my goal is always the same: make sure the mission takes center stage. After four years of refining my craft, I've found that my best work happens when high-level engineering meets a cause that matters.

Web Design and Development Internship · Poirier Web Soltuions

My internship gave me hands-on experience redesigning a legacy website into a modern, accessible platform—achieving WCAG 2.1 compliance, boosting mobile usability by 60%, and reducing bounce rates by 25% through user testing. I also contributed design strategy to an internal rebrand, helping unify the company's visual identity. It was formative work that first showed me how design, development, and real user needs come together.

Cooking is one of my favorite things in the world; the creativity, the chaos, the satisfaction of a perfectly executed service. As a sous chef, I led kitchen operations serving hundreds of covers nightly and coordinated a diverse team, learning to prioritize, communicate clearly, and deliver under serious pressure. When COVID shut everything down, I pivoted to tech, but the kitchen never really left me. Those same instincts for collaboration, quality, and staying cool when things get hectic now drive how I work as a developer.
